The naming and consecration of luxury suites at The New Stradford Hotel builds on an inherited value endowed by the Reverend James Milton Stradford, a “superannuated” ordained elder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and his bride, Alma Catherine Thomas Stradford, a native of Chambers County, AL, a disputed land along the Muscogee (Creek) Trail of Tears. Each of the Stradford’s surviving children received an asset for inclusion.  “You didn’t choose me. I chose you…,” is the substance of James Stradford’s bequeathed estate. “
