In July 1998, Eric and Stephanie Stradford reinvested their historically disadvantaged small business interests into an evolving social enterprise brand.  Star Step, Inc., established in 1976, was a Washington, DC- based communications firm serving the needs of business, nonprofit and faith-based clients.  In 1993, Stephanie introduced the YouthUSA brand, motivating American youth to believe and achieve.

TheEnterpriZe brand evolved from a website in 1998 to a book, TheEnterpriZe from slaveship to spaceship, to a social enterprise incubator program of Youth Achievers USA Institute, a Delaware non profit corporation.

In 2019, TheEnterpriZe, LLC was officially formed as a member-owned management consulting contractor supporting trust management needs of nonprofit, small business, individual estate and trust clients.  Over the last four decades, our members have developed and implemented plans in support of our clients' vision of their future.
